English Touring Opera: Agrippina

English Touring Opera: Agrippina

Presented by Saffron Hall in association with English Touring Opera

Handel’s masterpiece of political intrigue is the most devilish of comedies, bringing the machinations of one of opera’s most notorious characters to life in a text penned by a Roman cardinal.

Agrippina was an early success of Handel’s, and is presented in a revival of ETO’s 2013 production alongside ETO’s period instrument partners The Old Street Band, with stunning set and costume designs by Samal Blak, performed in a rapier-sharp English translation.

Stage Effects
Please note that this production features the use of haze, naked flames and flashing lights throughout.

Pre-concert talk
English Touring Opera will be running a free pre-concert talk for this event, which will take place between 6pm and 6.30pm in Room E7. Members of the creative team will share insights into this revival of Handel's Agrippina. There will be plenty of signs to show you the way and our stewards will be on hand to direct you when you arrive.

Our shuttle bus will run from 5.30pm until 7pm before this event to accommodate for this.
