From Strauss to Sherlock

We regularly work with the BBC but this week everything seems to be coming up at once! So here are three things you can experience again on BBC Sounds that we've been involved in...

Hound of the Baskervilles

Our recent co-commission with the BBC and Barbican Centre, a three-part Concert Drama for actors and orchestra, is now available on BBC Sounds! Mark Gatiss and Sanjeev Bhaskar star in this new interpretation of Arthur Conan Doyle's Hound of the Baskervilles. View the full digital programme and hear from the mastermind behind the creation, Neil Brand.

A New Year's Celebration

We started 2023 off right at Saffron Hall with a sold-out New Year's Celebration Concert given by the BBC Concert Orchestra. Under the baton of Chloe Rook, our audience were delighted by waltzes, polkas, operatic arias and more.

Saffron Hall soloists on In Tune

BBC Radio 3's In Tune features several upcoming Saffron Hall soloists in the next couple of weeks. Tune in on Mon 30 Jan to hear from oud player Joseph Tawadros about his concert with Britten Sinfonia and listen out on Wed 8 Feb for keyboardist James McVinnie and his ensemble, who will be giving us a sneak peek of Glassworks. Missed it? Listen again to both on BBC Sounds.
